Bentley GT Speed Convertible – Launch Film 2013

Bentley has an unequalled history when it comes to convertibles, and the GT Speed Convertible is the latest, fastest and most thoughtfully-executed of all. Drive it with the hood down and a new dimension is revealed. You’re no longer an observer of the passing landscape but a part of it, with every aspect of your journey – especially the thrilling sound track – amplified in the open air.

We can now reveal our film for the New Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible. Launched at the Detroit Motor Show January 2013

mustard-berlin were commissioned to produce and direct the launch film for the New 2013 Bentley GT Speed Convertible. Filming took place along the Croatian coast in the region of Pag. The combined film and photo shoot was Directed & produced by mustard-berlin (Martin Bennett). Our fantastic local production team was headed by Dragan Josipovic-Joss “Joss” and Žarko Ivković who made everything possible and made the whole shoot run like clockwork.

The post production took place in L.A. and London with Malcolm Crowe onboard again as editor extraordinaire. The VFX and retouch were superbly created by Rushes (London). The beautiful colour grade was handled by Denny Cooper (Rushes).

The 2013 New Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible

The GT Speed Convertible is the latest, fastest and most thoughtfully-executed Bentley convertible of all. Drive it with the hood down and a new dimension is revealed. You’re no longer an observer of the passing landscape but a part of it, with every aspect of your journey – especially the thrilling sound track – amplified in the open air. However, should you choose to close the roof, the levels of refinement, acoustic insulation and cosseting comfort provided are truly exceptional.

We can now reveal that mustard-berlin produced the recent photographic shoot for the New Continental GT Speed with photographer Graham Thorp, agency Connect, for Bentley Motors. Shot on location in Croatia, the photo shoot with Graham was part of a larger film and PR photography shoot

Bentley GT Speed – Launch Film 2013

We can now reveal our film for the new Bentley Continental GT Speed. Launched at the Paris Motor Show September 2012

Bentley’s new Continental GT Speed coupé is capable of fast lap times, but it’s a real-world supercar, not a track special. Distinctive it may be, but it’s also the latest in a long line of devastatingly fast, smooth and rewarding Bentley grand tourers.

mustard-berlin were commissioned to produce and direct the launch film for the new 2012 Bentley GT Speed. Filming took place in Slovenia and Croatia. The combined film and photo shoot was Directed & produced by mustard-berlin (Martin Bennett). Filmed with the Arri Alexa, Phantom and the Canon 5D MkIII & MKII.

The post production took place in London with Malcolm Crowe onboard again as our star editor. The VFX and retouch were superbly created by The Brewery. The beautiful colour grade was handled by Rushes and the fantastic Simon Grattarola.

Bentley Film and photo shoot: Croatia

The combined film and photography shoot took place in Croatia. We shot in beautiful mountain and coastal locations in the Dalmatian region of Croatia.

Photographer Graham Thorp was commissioned, once again to shoot the stills, assisted by Chris Rands. Graham shot on the  Hasselblad H2 with a Phase One P65 back and a range of Hasselblad lenses. The brief called for dynamic driving shots in different landscape environments. To create the element of speed in the dynamic driving images we worked with a Move & Shoot rig, superbly rigged by David Turnley.

The film shoot was only one day so we had a lot to cram in. We shot a mixture of car to car, grip shots, slider and sticks shots. As we needed to be fast and create a lot of material we shot on 2 small footprint cameras:  Canon 5D MKIII & Canon 5D MKII using Canon L prime lenses, operated by Martin Bennett. These gave us the flexibility to shoot fast and get shots not possible with larger camera setups.

Our superb precision drivers for the duration of the shoot were Tiffany Chittenden & Rob Gray. The local crew were absolutely amazing and worked tirelessly on long shoot days. The stop and go and security team made the closing of roads and the locking down of locations happen without hitch or delay. All of this was co-ordinated by Local Producer Dragan Josipovic “Joss” and our superb Location Manager Žarko Ivković. Both of whom are extremely experienced and made sure that the shoot ran smoothly. I think we now hold the record for the longest roadblock in Croatia!!!

We now move into post-production on both the film and stills. As usual we cant reveal the model of the car at this stage, but as soon as the images & film go live we’ll upload them, so please watch this space…

(CD Dennis Wilson / AD Richard Parsons / PM Melanie Tainty) Also in collaboration with Jamie Buckingham, Senior Creative at McCann-Erickson Central.

We were on the road for 2 weeks filming for a launch film and shooting advertising and PR photography of the new vehicle. Starting in Austria we worked our way south taking in beautiful rural locations in Slovenia and finally in Croatia.
